The COMFORT XTRA mattress is designed to be a cost effective solution for users considered at HIGH-VERY HIGH risk of pressure ulcer development. It provides supreme comfort and is made from bio density quality CMHR foams. The topper is VISCO MEMORY FOAM which is castellated. This mattress is designed to be a one sided mattress eliminating the need for flipping, therefore reducing manual handling. The COMFORT XTRA mattress not only has a supreme VISCO MEMORY foam topper, it has a firmer base which helps to eliminate BOTTOMING OUT. The COMFORT XTRA comes with a non-slip base on the COMPLETE underside, helping with user transfer safety. As with all our products, the COMFORT XTRA comes with our UNIQUE product identification colour coded cover- “IDENTI-QUICK “ this is a coloured strip around the sides, which assists with risk assessment procedures in offering a quick visual check of the mattress, instead of stripping the bed and looking for labels/screen print. The cover is made from a PU fabric, which is multi-stretch, vapour permeable, waterproof and durable. It is treated with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agents maintaining with infection control procedures. It can be wiped down with suitable detergents, or be removed and laundered up 80⁰C.
